The New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the city, tracing its roots back to its humble beginnings in 1911 with just nine artworks. Over the years, NOMA has flourished into a revered institution, boasting a diverse permanent collection of nearly 50,000 pieces, ranging from French and American art to photography, glass, and works from Africa and Japan.

Among the many exhibitions that grace its halls, one stands out as a vibrant celebration of the changing seasons and artistic expression: the Art in Bloom Exhibition, presented by First Horizon. As spring begins to unfurl its colors and scents, anticipation builds in New Orleans for this beloved event at NOMA.

For many in the community, Art in Bloom has become synonymous with the arrival of spring. It’s a time when the museum is transformed into a botanical wonderland, with each corner adorned with breathtaking floral designs that showcase the talents of garden clubs, floral designers, and creative individuals from both the local community and beyond.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Art in Bloom serves a dual purpose: supporting NOMA‘s educational initiatives and exhibitions, and contributing to the community projects of the Garden Study Club of New Orleans.
