The French Quarter Festival has come a long way since its humble beginnings as a neighborhood celebration in 1984. In an effort to bring in more people to the Quarter, it has since evolved to become one of the largest free festivals in the US, and continues to get bigger and better with every passing year.

Music Lineup

Music lovers will be jumping with joy over the spectacular lineup planned for this year’s French Quarter Festival! Headlining the show is none other than Irma Thomas — the one and only Soul Queen of New Orleans. Joining her on this 4-day event are some of the nation’s hottest young performers like Tank and the Bangas and Samantha Fish. Local legends like Rebirth Brass Band and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux with the Golden Eagles are sure to keep audiences on their feet. Best of all, the French Quarter Fest lineup always presents a diverse spread of regionally popular genres, so get your dancing shoes ready for jazz, R&B, Zydeco, and more.

Food

French Quarter Festival 2023 is proving to be just as exciting in the kitchen as it is on the stage. Get ready to enjoy four exciting days of musical performances, delicious food and special purchases. Taking place from April 13-16, the French Quarter Festival kicks off at 11 AM and runs through 8 PM. You’ll have the chance to enjoy live music at various iconic venues within the French Quarter, such as Jackson Square, Woldenberg Riverfront Park, Bourbon Street, Preservation Hall, and more.

There is also a variety of food and beverage options available for purchase, but no outside food or drinks are allowed inside the venue areas. It’s important for attendees to also remember that it can get quite warm in April, so dressing for hotter weather and bringing some sunglasses is highly recommended.
